Charitable Planning

Many of our clients utilize charitable giving techniques for a variety of purposes such as estate planning and financial planning to benefit the charities they wish to support. Our team will design a charitable giving plan that will address the goals and needs of each individual client. We often utilize Charitable Remainder Trusts to minimize the impact of capital gains taxes by exchanging low-basis property for a lifetime income stream for our clients during their lifetimes and a charitable gift upon death. Charitable Lead trusts are another vehicle that may be used to minimize estate taxes, and we may also work with our more affluent clients to create Support Organizations and Private Foundations. We also advise our clients who are thinking about entering into a contract for a Charitable Gift Annuity with their favored charity.
